Setting Up Laconica, an Open Source Twitter

I’ve had a twitter account for more than a year now, I think it would be highly useful to have in the corporate world. This is the easiest way to get started. We use vmware at work, and I’ve installed the recently released VM Ware Server 2.0 on my laptop. Get AMP’d on Linux. The VM referenced above is a minimal install of Ubuntu server. We’ll need to install Apache, MySQL and PHP to finish building out the environment. Here’s a detailed post on how to do it. It basically boils down to running the following:
